Meet Feng Xin, the founder of SourceEngine. Prior to starting the company, she worked as a correspondent for China Global Television Network, previously known as China Central Television's English News, and a multimedia journalist for China Daily. During her time as a journalist, Xin produced numerous in-depth reports on a variety of topics including current affairs, finance and people's livelihood. Additionally, she created two award-winning news programs.
Throughout her seven years as an investigative journalist, Xin frequently faced challenges related to information gathering. She recognized that insufficient sources and information could hinder people's ability to access facts. A society lacking truth would struggle to make informed decisions and progress.
Determined to address this issue, Feng Xin left CGTN and pursued a John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University, one of the most prestigious journalism fellowships in the world. After a year of intensive conceptualization and incubation in the Silicon Valley, she returned to China and founded SourceEngine. The team is now joined by top media and technology talents from leading universities who share Xin's vision.
